Sign Up for Buzzy Garden Club

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

If you hurry and sign up for the Buzzy Garden Club, then you will be able to take part in a survey that will help us with our new products.  That’s not all… there will be a free offer when you take the survey! (Free seeds, anyone?)  Not sure what the offer is going to be yet, but it will be worth it.  It’ll be a short survey, and to be honest, I like taking these kinds of surveys.  They’re quick and they ask your opinion on a whole range of things.  I like the fact that somebody is going to read my answer and think of it as valuable information.  That’s pretty cool.

So next time I post a new product on here, it could very well be that you had something to do with the creation!  So don’t forget to sign up right away by clicking here

It’s here! The Buzzy Upside Down Tomato Garden!

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

I’m very excited to share the arrival of the Buzzy Upside Down Tomato Garden!  I had the privilege of working on this product from the very beginning.  I can tell you that I had great success last year growing tomatoes out of this kit and they were DELICIOUS!

The great thing about our Upside Down Tomato kit is that, unlike other similar products, ours comes with seeds.  You don’t have to wait until spring to go buy tomato plants at the store (secret additional cost they don’t like to mention).  Our kit comes with seed, soil and step-by-step instructions to make it as simple as possible.  To top it off, you can start your tomato seeds in the bucket indoors before moving to hang outdoors.  You can start your plants earlier in the year, getting a head start on spring planting.  The kit is all inclusive, making this the most economical way to grow tomatoes.

The success of this kit also relies on the variety of seeds.  As I said before, other upside down kits tell you to simply place a grown tomato plant (purchased) into the slots.  Has anyone tried this?  If you’re like some people I know, you simply went and bought a plant.  Little did you know that most varieties get way too heavy for a container that hangs upside down, therefore, making the whole experience a waste.  We provide a delicious variety of tomato seeds that are absolutely perfect for this type of growing.

Now on to the important information — where to buy!  Right now, these kits are available at Fred’s, Meijer and Cohen.  I will be sure to update everyone when it becomes available in more locations and online!

Baby it’s Cold Outside

Monday, January 11th, 2010

If you’re like me, you are sick and tired of this cold weather.  My plants are suffering and I haven’t felt like going outside for a week!  The sad part is that I live in Florida, where this kind of weather is rare and usually doesn’t last this long.  I’m sure there are plenty of people in Minneapolis saying, “What is she complaining about?” Some of us just aren’t made for this kind of cold, and I’m one of them.   My plants are also quietly complaining.

So, what’s the best solution for me?  Do I cut all my plants back?  Try to bring them all inside?  The truth is that this is the end for them.  But this is NOT the end for my Buzzy plants.  Most of my Buzzy Seeds Grow Kits are already indoors, on my windowsill in my kitchen.  I like to keep fresh herbs year round, and these kits make it easy as pie.  I’m excited about the new kits we will have available for next Fall and Winter.  If you’re like me, you hate to watch the winter cold kill everything green.  It’s amazing that we can continue to grow indoors year round.  To have the smell of fresh rosemary and lavender in January… now that’ll keep you indoors during the cold winter months!
